Ingredients

  • Fish 1 kg
  • Onion 1
  • Yogurt 250 gms
  • Turmeric 1 piece
  • Garlic 6 cloves
  • Ginger 1 piece
  • Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Lemon Juice 4 tbsp
  • Curry Leaves 6
  • Green Chilies 4
  • Green Coriander as required
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Red Chilies 10

Method

Step 1

Put 4 tbsp lemon juice on fish and keep it for some time. In some hot water, add in a piece of turmeric, 10 whole red chilies and cumin. Soak it for 2-3 hours.

Step 2

Grind together, a piece of ginger, garlic cloves, whole red chilies, turmeric, cumin and onion. Heat ½ cup oil and add in curry leaves, then add in grinded mixture and cook it.

Step 3

Then add in 1 tsp salt and cook. Then add in 1 kg fish. When fish simmer, add in 250 gm of yogurt and cook it for 5 minutes. Add in green coriander and green chilies. Serve with rice.
