Potato Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes grated
  • 1 medium onion grated
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp White flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 cup Oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp (chopped) Coriander leaves
  • 1 (chopped) Green chilli

Method

Step 1

Squeeze out excess water from potatoes and onions. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Heat oil in a skillet and drop about 2 tbsp mixture into oil. Flatten with spatula and fry about 4 minutes on each side or until golden. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Step 2

Stir mixture before frying each new batch. Serve hot with sour cream or tomato ketchup.
